3 Winter Basics To Complete Any Cold Weather Outfit

As a proud native Michiganer, I’ve been through enough winters to know that style doesn’t have to completely go out the window just because it’s cold out. I’m a lover of fashion, and the cold temperatures only push me to get more creative with the looks I put together. So today, I’m sharing three of my favorite winter basics. Staple 1: Wide Leg Jeans

I am a huge fan of wide leg jean for a couple reasons. One, they are super easy to style with just about anything, and two, they’re a much more comfortable and timeless option compared to skinny jeans. If you’re not into traditional denim, give a black or white wash pair a try!

Staple 2: Bodysuits

Is anyone else a fan of body suits? I think these are great winter staples because not only do they literally go with everything, but they make for a perfect first layer in the winter. If you already have enough basic bodysuits, I suggest switching it up with a ribbed one or one with a turtleneck.

Staple 3: Chunky Loafers

You really can’t go wrong with a classic black loafer if you ask me, and sometimes it’s okay to splurge on a timeless style like the Christian Louboutin loafers. If you want something a bit more trendy, you can opt for a style with a bold accessory on the top like the one on the left, or you could go for a nontraditional color like nude or white!
